Independent town pub
Open from four. The snug keeps the rest.
Tue–Sat from 4pm · Sunday noon

The bar
A clerk’s house, poured as a pub.
The ledgers went years ago. What stayed is the corner door, the brass rail, and a room that is easier to find than a menu.
There is no kitchen. Come for a pint, a quiz, and a fire if it is cold. The rest of the town can do supper.
What’s poured
We do not publish a beer list that will be wrong by Thursday. The pumps are the list.

Cask
Two or three changing ales. We write the names on the pumps, not on a website that goes stale.
Craft and cider
A short fridge. Ask at the bar; we do not keep a twelve-tap board we cannot finish.
Wine
A house red and a house white by the glass. Enough for the snug, not a list.

Nights
The snug does the talking.
- TuesdayQuiz in the snug, from eight.
- FridayFolk when someone brings a fiddle. Not every week.
- SundayThe fire if it is cold. Newspapers on the bar.
Visit
On the corner. Lantern over the door, blank sign, wet cobbles. Walk in. There is nothing to book.
See hoursOn a live website this button would call the pub. There is no booking form, and no kitchen.
